Aprilia RSV4 refresh

We specialise in the building and tuning of 4-Stroke multi-cylinder engines. and one of our recent projects, involved a full refresh being carried out on a 2019 Aprilia RSV4 in preparation for it to compete at British Superstock.

Close scrutiny and meticulous methods ensured the most effective gas seal between valve seats and valve faces, and likewise between piston rings and cylinder walls. Also, the vacuum testing of valve seats prior to full assembly, ensures a long lasting gas seal to maintain its high engine performance.

Bespoke Race loomS

Our bespoke race looms service supports a wide range of motorcycles, ranging from a simple carburettor equipped CB500 to a fuel injected Supersports machine, like the Triumph 675.

All looms are custom built to your specifications and can incorporate additional aftermarket circuitry to support Dash Displays or Datalogging.

DL Racing can also supply, fit and map fully programable fuel/ignition systems and Quickshifters.

Yamaha YSF-r6 5eb/5sl conversion

One of our recent projects involved the engine conversion and tune of YZF-R6s using the tuning techniques developed from our very own experience of racing the early YSF-R6s.

Our cost-effective and robust conversions of the later 5SLs will help to ensure longevity of the Golden Era Supersport Class.

The early model 99-02 engines develop issues as they age with the cylinder walls crystallising and breaking up as and can be caused by many reasons. Some have invested in re-lining the original bores, but can cause other issues such as premature piston ring wear on the aftermarket steel liners as opposed to the OEM Nicosil plated cylinders.

To this end, we believe the only reliable alternative is to use the later 03-05 5SL bottom end and convert the engine mounts to fit the 5EB chassis. This provides the opportunity to increase the performance whilst the cylinder head is removed and to renew worn components.

Our successful modifications have seen power increases of 15-25% and one rider, since using our service has gone on to improve his personal best lap times by over a second at every circuit.
